August 28. 2026 /Prince Rupert BC – Yesterday, Trigon Pacific Terminals proudly welcomed federal, provincial, Indigenous, and local leaders to our terminal to mark a major milestone – concrete pouring for our final piling – in the development of our new second berth – the Berth Two Beyond Carbon project.
We were by Hon. Steven MacKinnon, Minister of Transport, Hon. Mike Farnworth, Minister of Transportation and Transit, Hon. Tamara Davidson, Minister of Environment and Parks, George Anderson, Parliamentary Secretary for Energy and Climate Solutions, Indigenous partners from Lax Kw’alaams and Metlakatla as well as municipal leaders from Prince Rupert and Port Edward.
This project was supported by a $75 million National Trade Corridors Fund grant, and will nearly double Trigon’s terminal capacity, creating opportunities to export a broader range of Canadian commodities to global markets. But it is about more than infrastructure. It is about strengthening Canada’s trade corridors, supporting supply chain resilience, advancing Indigenous partnerships, and helping Canadian producers reach growing international markets through Prince Rupert.
