Prince Rupert is one of the deepest year-round natural harbours in the world, and the closest port in North America to the Asia-Pacific. It offers ease of access to shipping lanes and ample and easy-to-navigate anchorage space, and is linked to commodity-producing regions by the uncongested northern CN rail line.
Our current annual shipping capacity will nearly double with the completion of our second berth. We are equipped for rapid commodity handling, with the west coast’s fastest shiploading system. With more than 50 hectares of industrial-zoned land available for future development, we have the capacity for significant growth.
Our solid commitment to customers and commodities is combined with an understanding of emerging market opportunities. We have a clear vision of Trigon’s place in the growing low-carbon economy, and are building new infrastructure for Canada to seize this opportunity.
We work in partnership with Canadian producers, their customers and our supply chain partners to maintain and further build these important, long-term relationships. Underlying this are open and collaborative relationships with Indigenous nations, local communities, and governments.
